How do I access webmail without going through cPanel? -
Use the FULL eMail address as the username, in conjunction with the mailbox password.
You can access a menu of all three webmail packages by going to:
http://yourdomain.com:2095/
To access only Horde:
http://yourdomain.com:2095/horde/
To access only Neomail:
http://yourdomain.com:2095/neomail/
To access only SquirrelMail:
http://yourdomain.com:2095/squirrelmail/
Many clients have setup a subdomain, or a subfolder with a redirect to one of the above URLs. Examples would be:
http://webmail.yourdomain.com or
http://yourdomain.com/webmail

FILE TRANSFER PROTOCOL (FTP)
What does FTP stand for and common uses for this application? -
FTP stands for file transfer protocol, and it is a way to send files back and forth between computers.
The two most common uses of FTP are:
• Downloading files (like software programs) from another computer.
• Uploading files (placing files into a directory on another computer) like web pages, for example.
Why would a user use FTP instead of a web browser? Very often it is much quicker to transfer files via FTP, and servers can be configured to only handle FTP downloads and uploads thereby decreasing the number of hits to the server and increasing the speed of the traffic.
